Taking HEEFS Around the World

We are always amazed, and even more humbled, by the reach of our message around the world. While it is true that things like social media and email have made it easier to span the globe in an instant, that doesn’t always mean that your message will be received, adopted and spread. We are so fortunate at HEEFS that all three of those things have happened to spread our message of compassion for farmed animals everywhere, and continues to happen every single day thanks to you, our incredible supporters!
Bringing a little bit of HEEFS to you
Over the years, HEEFS founders, Derek Walter and Steve Jenkins, have had the honour to be asked to speak about farmed animal sanctuaries in general, HEEFS in particular, and their journey to a plant-based lifestyle at vegfests and conferences around the world. They’ve spoken from Sheffield, England to Oslo, Norway, as well as Germany, Portugal, Finland and right here near home in Nova Scotia, Ontario and New York…to name just a few. Often, it is Esther The Wonder Pig’s fame that brings attention to HEEFS, are we’re OK with that! Because, if it wasn’t for Esther, there would be no HEEFS.
Once safe travel is a thing again, Derek and Steve hope to continue to spread the HEEFS message far and wide about just how amazing farmed animals really are.

Thank you is never enough. HEEFS operates 100% from donations to feed, shelter and provide medical care to our 80+ residents. We have monthly, and one-time donors from almost every continent on Earth (except Antactica!). So, however you say it, know that we mean it, when we say, THANK YOU!
