Taking care...at HEEFS

Taking Care

The health and well-being of our residents, staff, volunteers and supporters is a top priority at HEEFS. To help ensure everyone remains as safe as possible from infectious diseases, including, but not limited to, African Swine Fever (ASF) and COVID-19, we have put immediate precautions in place at the Sanctuary. These precautions will allow us to continue to operate the Sanctuary with the lowest possible risk of exposure. We have also put into place an emergency readiness plan should any degree of property lock down be required. We are implementing numerous safety measures, including those listed here, and will continue to monitor the situation and add to these as needed:

  •       Maintaining a 4-month supply of dry food and medication

  •      Screening processes for staff and regular weekly volunteers

  •       Sanitation requirements for staff and regular weekly volunteers

  •       Disinfecting protocols for high touch areas

  •      Bans on select service and delivery vehicles on the property

Sanctuary Tours and Workdays

We are sorry to announce that all tours and workdays are cancelled for 2020. We understand how much you enjoy visiting the Sanctuary and we truly value all the hard work our volunteers put in on workdays. However, at this time our priority is focused on keeping everyone safe, including our incredible community of supporters.

See You Online!

We will continue to keep everyone up-to-date on our social media pages and through our weekly Barnside Chats – every Monday at 1pm ET on the Happily Ever Esther Farm Sanctuary Facebook page.
